From embroidery and weaving to quilting, felting, crochet, and mixed-media textiles, we’re seeking pieces that capture the spirit of creativity and the tactile magic of fiber.

We’re weaving something extraordinary—and we want your art to be part of it!

We are pleased to announce an open call for fiber artists to submit work for inclusion in our upcoming fiber art book anthology, a curated celebration of texture, technique, and storytelling through fiber. We welcome submissions from artists at all stages of their creative journey.

About the Anthology

This art book will feature a diverse range of fiber-based works—highlighting the artistry, innovation, and personal narratives behind contemporary fiber art. Selected pieces will be showcased alongside brief artist statements to illuminate the inspiration and process behind each work.

Who Should Submit

We welcome submissions from:

  • Emerging and established fiber artists

  • Quilters, weavers, embroiderers, knitters, crocheters, felters, and textile mixed-media artists

  • International applicants (work must be submitted in English)

Accepted Mediums

You may submit artwork created using:

  • Embroidery

  • Weaving

  • Knitting

  • Crochet

  • Quilting

  • Felting (needle or wet)

  • Tapestry

  • Textile collage or mixed media

  • Lacework

  • Rug hooking or punch needle

  • Other fiber-based practices (please specify in your description)

Submission Requirements

Please include the following with your submission:

  1. High-Quality Images

    • 1–3 images per artwork (up to 3 artworks may be submitted)

    • Images must be well-lit, in focus, and at least 300 dpi resolution

    • Accepted formats: JPEG or PNG

  2. Artwork Details

    • Title of piece

    • Medium(s)

    • Dimensions

    • Year completed

  3. Artist Statement (150–250 words)

    • Briefly describe your creative practice, the meaning or story behind the work, and your artistic influences.

  4. Artist Bio (50–100 words)

    • A short professional bio to accompany your work if selected.

  5. Contact Information

    • Name, email, website or portfolio link, and social media handles (optional)

Selection Criteria

Submissions will be evaluated on:

  • Artistic quality and craftsmanship

  • Originality and conceptual strength

  • Technical skill and use of fiber mediums

  • Quality of submitted images

  • Alignment with the anthology’s theme of fiber arts

Important Dates

To help fund the editing, curation, and administrative work behind the anthology, we’ve set a submission entry fee of $50. Every contribution helps us create a beautifully produced art book that highlights the fiber art community and honors each artist’s work.

  • Submission Deadline: January 5, 2026

  • Notification of Selection: January 23, 2026
