About
We are an independent publishing company and software platform built to serve the modern book-creator community. Our all-in-one self-publishing platform gives authors, small businesses, and freelancers the tools they need to publish, market, and sell their books with confidence. By combining publishing software with a professional author networking hub, we eliminate the noise of generic platforms and the limitations of traditional publishing houses. The result is a streamlined, trusted space for collaboration, growth, and successful book launches.

Vision
We envision a future where self-published authors, entrepreneurs, and creative professionals have the same opportunities and visibility as traditionally published writers. By uniting publishing expertise with innovative software solutions, we’re creating a vibrant community where creators can collaborate, share resources, and scale their businesses. Our vision is to redefine independent publishing—making it more accessible, connected, and sustainable for book creators worldwide.
Core Values
Accessibility
We believe stories and knowledge should be within everyone’s reach. From inclusive design to fair pricing and diverse representation, we strive to remove barriers so every reader and creator can take part in the literary world.
Growth
We nurture continuous growth—of our authors, our readers, and our team. Every project is an opportunity to learn, experiment, and expand the impact of storytelling across new voices and technologies.
Collaboration
Great publishing is built on shared vision and trust. We partner closely with writers, artists, and industry peers to create work that reflects the power of many voices working in harmony.
Sustainability
We’re committed to publishing practices that respect both creators and the planet. By prioritizing ethical production, digital innovation, and long-term partnerships, we build a future where art and environment thrive together.
Our Mascot
We're big board game nerds! Playing a version of Settlers of Catan, we would declare our actions using "incorrect" terms for the resources, cards, and buildings based. Having a port or resource exchange became part of the name. Thus we would loudly call out "BRICK-WHEAT-HOUSE" or "SHEEP-WOOD-ROAD".
As artists and animal lovers, we learned about the curious sea slugs and other nudibranchs because of their colorful appearances and whimsical names. We were keeping "Leaf Sheep Yarn" in the back pocket for a future hand-dyed yarn company.
When it came time to name our business, LEAF SHEEP HOUSE was thrown around "Catan" proclamation. The little spines on its back reminded us of books and how cute is it to be a book-sea-slug instead of a book worm?!
